Name: Icarus
Species: Broad-Winged Hawk Buteo platypterus
Life History: Icarus arrived at FKWBC in 2014 with a left wing fracture from a suspected projectile or gun shot. The extent of the injury unfortunately left him flightless. Likewise, one of his friends also has a left wing injury affecting his flight. The others have an eye injury and an old leg fracture. Together this band of merrymen enjoy bouncing around and leaving a trail of feathers around their enclosure for the interns to clean.
